I friend of mine is trying to find a front bumper for a 2008 kia spectra. The bumper is the only problem with the car. He has the bumper back on the car but it is messed up on the drivers side. He can not afford his insurance to go up anymore than it is now seeing that only has had license for 3 years so far. Wanting to fix it his self. Does anyone know if an 07 spectra bumper will work on it or if he has to go with the 08 bumper. it is just the bumper the grill and all is still good. I am trying to help him out as much as i can to find out would be thankfull if anyone can help

Q: How many MPG do you get on your 2008 Kia Spectra?
I've had my '08 Spectra EX since Memorial Day, has about 750 miles on it now. I used it for about 80% highway driving, the rest city. 99% of the time I have the AC on, but on the lowest setting. Whenever I'm on the highway, I use cruise as much as possible. The last time I put gas in, it was about 14.3 gallons (I was way on E) and after about 370 miles I've got about 1/4 tank left. I assume I'll prolly get somewhere around 400-415 miles out of that tank, which would be under 30MPG. I've read several consumer reports of owners that are so satisfied with their 08 Spectra's gas efficiency getting 32-35MPG driving only 50% highway.
Does anybody own an '08 Spectra and get over 30MPG?
A: The EPA conducts fuel economy in climate-controlled conditions. Ambient air that is hot is not conducive to good fuel economy.
Driving with the air on, even a kittle, can reduce efficiency.
You didn't mention whether you have an automatic transmission. The EPa recorded 32n highway miles per gallon for the auto, and 30 mpg for the manual.
Factors such as tire pressure and driving style affect fuel economy.
At 750 miles, your engine isn't properly broken in yet .Try monitoring fuel economy again once you've racked up 3-5,000 miles and you've had an oil change.
September should find you back in the 30s.

A: Well It is parable a good car. But you have to ask your self where dose the money go that Kia makes on the car. I know when buy Ford GM or Chrysler and it comes out of U,S, auto plant the money stays here. You help ever one in the town that it is made in. The cities that the pars are made in. When you invest in your country you make you make your country grow. In 1983 I went I went out to look at a new car. I owen a used toyota, It was a good car so I went out and looked at one. I went to the next day walked out to work on a machine and the pars this machine made parts for GM. I thought to my self If I buy that toyota I will not have a job. So buy that Kia. Put a U,S. auto work out of work. You do know that ever auto work keeps five people in our country in jobs. It is up to you.

I know that 2008 Kia models do, but I would like to buy a used vehicle. I like the Kia Spectra 5 and the Honda Civic and Accord. Do any of the earlier models of these cars (or cars like them) come with side curtain airbags?

Q: 2.5 and 3.5 mm AUX Cable?
I have a slight issue as most new cars have a 3.5 mm aux input so i can just plug the aux cable into the car and then into my Zune and play some tunes.... but my car likes to be special and stupid and has a 2.5 mm aux cable. So that brings me here to ask where on earth can i purchase (for a decent price) a 2.5mm to 3.5 mm AUX Cable? (btw i have a kia spectra 2008)
A: im not sure where u are from but if u have a local "frys" electronic store you can find it there for like 20 - 30 bucks or try a radio shack it should be around the same price

My parents told me to pick a new car to buy. Yeah, I'm spoiled but I hate driving and think cars are evil. I told them to get a Kia Spectra because my uncle knows the manager and might get us a 2008 for 14k. I hear all these things about Kias being bad and now 2003+ Kias are good O.O. Is 14k for a Kia a good deal? I test drove it and thought it was pretty roomy with a lot of features.
A: Yes, they are great cars now and that is a great price. I prefer sports cars, but I would definitely get the new Spectra if I can get it for $14k.
Q: Have U Seen The 2008 Subaru WRX?
I saw some new pics of the Subaru Impreza WRX Hatchback and Sedan and I am very dissapointed. I think Subaru made a decision to have a much more broader audience rather than the 20-30 year old range in which its bought by. It looks very feminine, Kia Spectra 5, Matrix, Mazda 3 like. I thought the Hatchback was ugly but the Sedan is even worst! I got an 06 STI and feeling that the new STI wont look better. I'm very envious of all the EVO fans. What's your thought of the new WRX?
A: Personally I think it looks absolutely hideous, I'm still a big fan of GCs and Bugeyes, but am quite content with my peanut eye STi. I still can't even get used to the pig nosed gen(06-07), and now they unleash the hideous beast, I'm not even sure what to call the 08, maybe the butt nosed impreza? :p The hatch is just downright ugly, but even the sedan looks like its missing something, like they cut the tail off, the first link below shows both, and I'm VERY disappointed. I owned an EVO then went to an STi, and it looks like I'll be going back to an EVO or something else because the spy shots for the next gen EVO look quite appalling as well. The 08 impreza is quite scary, I thought the 06-07 tail lights were butt ugly, the new tail makes me picture a 6" double decker park bench aluminum wing stapled to the roof with chopped springs and melon launcher exhaust.
