About once every 2 weeks, when I attempt to start it, I will grind it. I have the clutch all the way to the floor as hard as I can. It doesn't do it all the time, just once about every 2 weeks. But when it does happen, and I immediately try to start it again, it will still grind. I have to wait about 2 minutes with no activity and try to start it again before it will not grind and start fine. Is this the starter? Is this common with other Kia's? More importantly, whatever is wrong, is it covered under the 10 year/100,000 Kia warranty? Thanks for any information on this. I really appreciate your help.

My girlfirend has a Kia spectra, when you turn on the heat it comes out fine. But, when you use the dial to select if the air comes out at your feet, face, or on the windshield it will not change, it just stays where it is blowing at the face level. Is this a hard fix? Anyone else have this problem, that can give me an estimate on cost of repairs?
A: i own a repair shop,and all you need is a inside control in it there easy to put on,and id get a good used one from a junk yard ,it will work as good as a new one will,and will be a lot cheaper also i usually charge around 75 dollars for parts and labor on this job its not hard to do at all,,good luck i hope this help,s.

A: kia and performance dont sound good together. but i'd go for speed chip, exhaust, and intake for starters, then id remove all unnecessary components. then in the daytime i would take one of my headlights out (the one on the side of the air box) and when in search of performance lighten the load on the altenator. turn off the radio, lights and any component that uses power. then, remove power steering belt. thats like 45-60 ex hp in this paragraph.

A: general rule of thumb is a 4 cyl takes 5 qts a 6 cyl takes 7 qts ect, if it is a 4 cyl add 4 1/2 then check it and see where it stands
