Q: I have a 2000 kia sephia and the head lights stopped working, what do I check?
The flashers work, fog lights, just not the head lights or even if I turn them to bright. The back lights do not work as well but brake lights do. What could be the problem and how could I fix the problem. thank you for your help.
A: Check the fuses, they should be located under the dash on the drivers-side. GOOD LUCK!
Q: Where does the brake fluid go on a 2000 Kia Sephia?
And, how do I check it? I don't have a manual, and nothing says "brake fluid" under the hood.
A: In the master cylinder. It has a black tupperware like top on it. The reservoir is located just in front of where the driver sits, under the hood.
Q: Why is my temp gauge on my 2000 kia sephia going up and down? Does anyone know about this?
It just started doing this today. I've been driving the car for about 3 months.
A: first check your antifreeze level, another thing whats the weather like where your at? cause all cars come with a thermostat, if your car has a 195 degree thermostat your engine tempature has to get up to the 195 degrees before it will open soo your gauge will go up, and go down when the coolant cools, sounds normal unless its over heating.
Q: How long does it take to change a fuel pump on a 2000 Kia Sephia?
A: based solely on your experience (or inexperience), tools available (hand or air), parts availability, etc......optimistically, i'd say anywhere from two hours to two weeks.
Q: 2000 kia sephia airbag light, why does it go on and off?
it will come on then turn off at different times almost everytime i drive it....any suggestions as to why?
A: The passenger air bag is designed to turn off when nobody is sitting in the seat. If you put something like a slightly heavy purse or booksack on the passenger seat while you drive, the weight sensor switches on and off because it can't tell if someone is sitting on the seat or not.
Next time you drive make sure nothing is on the seat, and watch what happens. If the light stays on, or stays off, then the sensor is working correctly. But if the light keeps going on and off you should take your car to the dealer to have it checked.
Q: What would you rather drive, a 2000 KIA Sephia or a 1997 Cadillac Seville or Eldorado?
I own the Kia outright, i just want more horespower and Luxury, but cant afford something newer. Thanks for your input and opinion.
A: If it were me, I would take a Cadillac over a Kia without even thinking about it. Not only do you have more power and luxury, but the safety of a large car like a Cadillac is unrivaled. I was unfortunate to come across an accident recently where two cars collided at an intersection. One was a ten year old Cadillac, and the other was a Honda Civic. Both occupants in the Civic were killed, and the Cadillac driver walked away. Everybody was wearing seat belts and the Cadillac broadsided the Honda, but I was still amazed by the amount of damage a side impact had on a small car.
Q: my 2000 kia sephia head lights do not work, please help?
The flashers work, fog lights, just not the head lights or even if I turn them to bright. The back lights do not work as well but brake lights do. What could be the problem and how could I fix the problem. thank you for your help.
A: Check the fuses both in the passenger compartment and under the hood. It could also be a headlight relay. Good luck with this one.
An occasional problem on this vehicle is failure of the Engine Wire Harness. Failure of the Engine Wire Harness is commonly a connection or ground problem; this can cause a drivability problem or the check engine light to illuminate.
I don't know if that info will help.
Q: What size flex pipe is needed for a 2000 kia sephia?
A: thats a small car,so i would guess about 1 and 1/4 in. pipe.
Q: Hows the best way to tow a 2000 kia sephia?
A "so called" professional towed my car from the rear and damaged the lower controll arms and cost me to fix it.Now I need to tow it agian with a F-150.where do I attach the chains so that I wont damage my car ?
A: You attach a hitch and receiver to the F150 and rent or buy a tow dolly. Don't hook chains to anything unless it is to hold it to the dolly. A two wheeled dolly will tow the car with the front wheels off of the road, which is exactly what you need. Trying to tow the car with just chains is plain crazy. You're looking to get a big ticket, with impounded vehicles, and dangerous for you and everyone else on the road if you are planning to just hook a chain to it and go on your merry way. Let an officer see that stunt, and I assure you he or she will not be pleased.
Q: where's the ATF Plug in a 2000 Kia Sephia?
I need to replace the ATF in my 2000 kia sephia but i cant seem to find the plug to drain the fluid, so i was wondering if some body could tell where's locate.
A: Like most Automatic transmissions, They do not have a plug. You will have to remove the transmission pan. The reason for this is to expose the filter. At this point, it would be wise to also replace the filter.
Q: What might cause a slow voltage drain on my 2000 KIA Sephia?
Have traced it to the BTN circuit (brake/taillight). With everything off, ampmeter shows a 75 ma draw. When I pull the 30 amp fuse the ampmeter drops to 0. Have checked for frays, wiggled wires, and the usual stuff, but if let sit for a few days the baterry is so low it won't start. Battery is new & alternator checks out fine. When I put a new battery in just before Christmas, the radio quit working. No fuses are bad, but I haven't pulled the dash to see if there's an in-line fuse hidden somewhere. (I'm guessing the radio is probably a coincidence.) What am I missing? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
A: You're on the right track. Since you have isolated which system is guilty you can further isolate the components. Try disconnecting the wires to the tail light assemblies (one at a time) with the fuse in place and see if the draw disappears. Do this with the brake light switch, headlight switch, and even the relays and you may be able to narrow it down to a single component or a certain strectch of wiring. Good luck!!
Q: 2000 kia sephia headlights not working, please help me?
The flashers work, fog lights, just not the head lights or even if I turn them to bright. The back lights do not work as well but brake lights do. What could be the problem and how could I fix the problem. thank you for your help.
A: Check the fuses (located in under the hood of the car or inside usually on the driver side). There is a chance the one the fuses have blown. If the fuses look good then bring to an electrical shop
Q: Transmission 2000 Kia Sephia?
I just got a call from my mechanic and said that my transmision is bad on my 2000 kida sephia. I have to go through someone else now. Does anyone know how much it cost to rebuild a transmission or for a new one?
A: You should not be rebuilding a transmission of a 2000 vintage vehicle. I'd check with the dealer and see what if any thing they'll do, even if the vehicle is out of warranty, sometimes they will split the cost with you.
If you must rebuild te tranny, you are looking at $2000or more. You do not describe the symptoms. Why did you take it to the mechanic? What did you think was wrong with the Tranny?
