Q: Which one of these offers is a better deal for a new vehicle?
We are currently offering 0% financing and/or up to $7000 cash back on select 2006 models. I'm trying to get a 2006 Kia Sedona and want some advice please.

A: OK here is the way to look at it. You need to find out what APR financing rate you would qualify for if you took the cash instead of the money. Figure how much interest you would pay over the life of the loan and see which is greater. The thing is also this the $7000 cash back you seen now. If you were to trade in the car in 2 years you saved the full $7000. You wouldn't see the APR savings probaly unless you paid it off in 5-6 years. Now lets say you pull out somewhere in 3 months and get hit by someone and the car gets totaled. You took the apr and saved $50 a month in interest for 3 months instead of taking the $7000. I say if you qualify for 0 percent you will qualify with another finance company for a rate of under 9 percent then since the Kia is not more than 20k to finance ... you would pay about $4900 in finance charges for 20k finance for 9% over 60 months. Hope this helps. God Bless.

Q: Having trouble locating my in glass antenna so that I can hook up my sureconnect xm radio?
I have a 2006 Kia Sedona and all my manual states is that the antenna is an in glass antenna either in the rear window or the third windows, but I am not sure which one. Has anyone else hooked up a satellite radio through their in glass antenna?

A: Guys, an XM "sure-connect" is a device that makes the FM-modulator in the satellite radio unit work better by running a wire to the FM antenna location. It has little stickers or suction cups to attach it to the glass. You should be able to see the antenna element in the window; it looks like a little wire embedded or etched on the glass. It's probably in one of the side windows back in the rear cargo area. I've never been a big fan of the Sure-connect; IMO you're better off buying an FM-direct adapter for XM, but it would be a much more difficult job to install. Good luck!

Q: What is an idler coil?
I have a 2006 Kia Sedona being repaired under warranty - I have to wait for a part to come in - an idler coil? What the heck is that? :) I'm sure it has something to do with the loud noise under the hood and why my van was threatening to sputter and die on me before I brought it in for repair.

A: Honestly... I've never heard of an Idler Coil. Now, idlers, or coils, yes... but not an idler coil. - Good Luck!

Q: Car Question.......?
I have a 2006 Kia Sedona...haven't had it but for 5 months at the most. The air is not working properly. It is staying on and won't turn off. Didn't know if anyone else had this same issue.

A: It should be covered by warranty so take it back to the dealership. If you bought it used from a dealer, they should make the repair. It could be just a leak, but the leak needs to be repaired or you will have the same thing next year or in a month or so. ~

Q: Is it worth it for me to refinance my car?
Here's the deal. I have a 2006 Kia Sedona that I owe about $12,000 on The payments right now are $278/mo at 7.99% for four more years. I started paying $300/mo last month and can comfortably do that for the remainder of the loan. My question is this. I got an offer to refinance at 6.36% for 36 months. By my calculations the payments would be about $350-$375?? Now, is it better to keep the first loan, make the higher payments on THAT loan (pay $350/mo) at 7.99% paying off principal faster or better to take the second loan. Second question...which might cancel out my first question...I AM upside down by about $3,000. Will they not refinance? I thought they said the would refinance up to 150% of the value of the car. (I could be completely wrong, however!! Thanks for your help.... I have plenty of savings to pay fee's but wouldn't it be smarter to pay that into the original loan? Or would I save it in the end? I just want to get the darn thing paid off!!

A: If they let you refinance without any origination fees, then you should save because of the lower interest rates.Several hundred dollars in fees might wipe out any savings. Pay extra principle each month if they'll let you, that way you can pay off your loan ahead of time saving interest that way.
