Q: How do you release a parking brake with a broken release handle on a 2002 Kia Sedona?
Pulled the P/B release and the handle came off in my hand...Now what?
A: Try to grab hold of the cable or rod end that connected to the handle with a set of Pliers, or even better,Vice Grips and pull .
Then don't use the parking brake untill it gets fixed again.
Leave the car in 1st gear if it's a stick, or just leave it in park if it's automatic

Q: Front struts needed for 2002 Kia Sedona! Are they available somehwere other than the dealer? ?
Need new struts. Looked high and low for them. Yes I know they are available from the dealer, but the price is not reasonable. ITS A 2002 for goodness sake! Surely someone other than Kia makes/sells struts for this van by now!
A: OUCH!!!!!!!!!!
I just checked our computer which lists part numbers for NAPA, Carquest, and Checker (O-reilly's) and none of them listed a part number for the struts on your vehicle. That basically means that they are not serviced aftermarket by Monroe, Gabriel, or KYB. This unfortunately means that you are probably stuck buying them from the dealer! Again.....all I can say is ouch!

Q: How do I add R-134 to my 2002 KIA Sedona?
A: well you can either use an AC machine, or you can but the little cans from the auto parts store and get the addapter line to hook it up to the low pressure line (the one with the little cap) and start your car with the AC on so it uses the cars AC pump to suck in the r-134, good luck
Q: How do I remove an alternator from a 2002 Kia Sedona van?
A: the first step is to remove the negative battery cable from the battery (no sparks if the wires touch anything). next step is to find the belt tensioner pulley (it will look like a pulley that is not attached to any major components) use a ratchet with the proper sized socket and apply pressure as if trying to remove it. the tensioner will move with a moderate amount of pressure (if it doesn't move or the nut starts to loosen you don't have the right pulley). while holding the tensioner down remove the belt from he alternator. then loosen the alternator mount bolts and the wire from the back of the alternator. install the new alternator. everything else is just the reverse order of installation. hope this helps some
Q: How much is pass. side (front) motor mount for 2002 Kia Sedona and is it available from other than dealer?
A: As far as I can see, motor mounts for an '03 Kia Sedona aren't found anywhere but your Kia dealer. I checked with many of the popular parts dealers, and they don't carry it. So, in that spirit, it's probably best to let your dealer do the work, unless you have the ability to do it yourself. If you can, then buy the part from the dealer and do it yourself, which will save you the labor costs.

Q: how do i replace plugs and wires on a 2002 KIA sedona mini van?
A: Apparently the only way to get to the back three plugs is by putting the front up on jack stands and crawling under on your back to get to them from the bottom up. They should have platinum plugs, good for 50,000 miles.
Q: Where is the drain bolt for Kia sedona 2002 transmission fluid ?
Is there anything else I should change like filter (or know) or is it just draining the ATF and refilling with the recommended which I believe is SP-3?
A: More than likely, there is no Drain Plug on your Transmission Pan.So, to Drain the Fluid, it's best to put the Vehicle up on a Lift, and have a Catch Drain Pan to get the Fluid when You remove the Cover. Loosen all the Bolts to the Pan, and remove maybe a couple of Bolts at one corner, and let the Bulk of the Fluid drain from that portion of the Pan before You completely remove the Pan, or the Fluid will splash all over You, and get on the Floor. Also, You do need to replace the Filter, and Pan Gasket. Both are sold together, and come with a complete set of Instructions on how to change the Fluid, Filter, and Pan Gasket. Read through it before You begin. The Directions will be far more detailed for Your Vehicle than anything Posted here. Hope this Helps !
