Q: 2007 KIA Rio and 2007 Chevrolet Avon SL, which one should i go for?

A: The KIA. You cannot beat the warranty. The cars run great. Mine has over 160,000 miles and I have not had to do anything to it other than change the oil!!!

Q: 2007 Kia Rio. Is this car reliable?
Im looking to buy a 2007 Kia Rio. Anybody have this car?

A: My friend's mother has a 2005 Rio. She doesn't drive it much (it only has less than 5,000 miles on it), but she's had in the shop for inside driver's door problems, and the car stops while driving periodically ever since she's had it and Kia cannot find any problem to be able to fix it. It's the cheapest car on the market, so even though its new, and probably a little better than my friend's mom's Rio, it's still a cheap car. I would recommend either getting a newer used car that is still under the manufacturer's warranty like a Honda Civic or a Toyota Corolla, or invest in another new economy car. I would be glad to help you pick out the best car for you if you want to e-mail me and give me your specific price point and other criteria. I've been helping people pick the right car for them (not a business, just a personal interest in cars and experience from purchasing over 15 cars for myself over the years). Q: Is a 2007 Kia Rio 5 a good car?
to purchase new? thanks

A: It should be, as long as you understand it's an economy car. I would take a look at the Hyundai Accent. Hyundai has a better reputation, even though it owns half of Kia and helps engineer Kia cars. Keep up with the maintenance (not just oil and tires), and the car should be fine for at least the first six years.

Q: does anyone know how big the gas tank is on a 2007 kia rio.?

A: Fuel-tank capacity/range 11.9 gal/298–309 mi

Q: What can i do to my rio to make it faster?
I have a 2007 Kia Rio Lx.... it is visually fixed with rims and a custom paint job...i want to make it a little faster, what can i buy for it.( if you r just going to criticize my car fuck off!! its NOT a waste of money, it is pretty reliable acutally =D)

A: Like any new vehicle it suffers in the intake and exhaust areas. If you are looking for someof the cheapest things to make it go a little faster these might be it. Idk if there are specfic kits out for these cars so you might have to do a little fabricating. Exhasut is preatty easy so long as its cat(catayltic converter) back, its legal. Id look into a good cat-back exhaust system which includes larger diameter exhaust pipes and a more free-flowing muffler. Most muffler shops will do these job for fairly cheap. Next would be a cold-air-intake which you can buy all of the parts needed to make your own at a well stocked kragens or pep-boys. Also probably the easiest way to increase your power is to cut down on weight. For every 100lbs you can take a 1/10 of a second of of your 1/4 mile time. And rememeber drive what you want, its your money anyway.

Q: Should I buy Kia Rio or Hyundai Verna? For OPC only?
I intend to drive 2-3 times a week, each 2 hrs only, hence I would be getting an OPC. Is it better to get the above cars, or should I get a Jap car like Nissan Sunny? Also, anyone knows if the new Rio 2007 and Verna comes equipped with air bags, ABS and power wing mirrors? Last: Amongst all 3 cars, which is the least power consuming? Thanks in advance for replies!

A: Personally, I wouldnt buy either one both car makes are pretty badly rated for the most part. If anything Id go with the Nissan.

Q: My car makes noise when I accelerate and turn...?
I drive a 2007 Kia Rio 5 and recently when I drive it tends to produce a loud noise when I accelerate and when I turn. I replaced the front right tire and the left a week after and the noise continues... Can anyone (preferrably a mechanic) tell me what might be the problem, and how much it should cost, so when I go to the shop I know whats going on? Thanks.

A: If I had to guess a CV joint. As memory serves me,straight ahead noise inner, turning outer. Just a guess but well worth investigating.

Q: how does this car finance work?
Lets say iam about to buy a 2007 Kia rio for about $10,000 with 7% intrest. So now the car is mine and i make payments every month. now lets say i have a 72 month term, which is alot of years that ill be paying for that car, lets just say in 3 years i decided to get rid of this car. how does this work? can i sell the car half way through and just match the retail price, or do i need to match with the price the car will be in 72 months with 7% intrest, or can i just give then or trade the car in?

A: The odds are your Kia will most likely be "upside down." They have terrible re-sale values, however that doesn't mean they aren't good cars. If you plan on getting rid of the car in 3 years, take a shorter term loan. Simple interest loans are similar to mortgages, so if you take a 6 year loan, your payments would be $170.49 per month and after 3 years, your balance would be $5,521.57. Your interest paid to that date would be $1,659.21, for a total of $6,137.64 out of pocket. The car would probably be worth $4,000 - $3,500 as compared to current values v/s purchase price. A 60 month payment would be $198.01 and after 3 years, your balance would only be $4,422.62 after paying $1,551.05 in interest, for a total of $7,128.39 out of pocket. Your re-sale value would still be tha same and although you would have paid about $990.72 more throughout the 3 years, your loan balance would be $1,098.95 less. Coming up with $27 per month is probably alot easier than to roll the negative into your next vehicle purchase. In addition, anything you roll into the next loan will be subject to interest all over again, so that $1,098.95 extra that you roll will end up being even more once it's included in your next auto loan. I hope this helps you! Q: What car should i buy?
I am looking at some different cars... 2007 Hyundai Tiburon 2007 Kia Rio 2005 Mitsubishi Eclipse 2007 Ford Taurus what car would last me longer with good results.

A: 1 - You want to choose a car that would BEST suit your needs and then your desires. 2 - Make sure you test drive all the cars. You might try out the Eclipse and hate the way it feels, thus cutting it from the list. 3 - Take people's opinions with a grain of salt. What's a blessing for some is a curse for others 4 - If the car is used, make sure to get a background check on it from CarFax or a similar service. You can also go to Autotropolis.com and compare all the cars side by side. This will help you compare the important features of the cars that you're looking at. -MunkiPhD Autotropolis.com

Q: Get answers from millions of real people.?
I have a bad situation. I first purchased a 2007 kia rio and traded it within two months for a 2007 kia spectra. My payoff is 19k. My interest rate is 15.25 and my car payment is 442 per month. I am in a bind because my car payment is too high and i cant afford to pay more money in access of my car payment to pay the total price down. I have made a huge mistake and i need some ways to get out of the mess. Any suggestions?

A: Although you won't like this answer, it's simple: "There is no magic way out of this". You traded way upside-down in the beginning, which added a ton more to your current loan. Now, you owe $19K on a car worth maybe half of that. Without a huge amount of cash, you're stuck. If you DID decide to try and trade out of it, you're going to only dig yourself into a deeper hole on a different car. My suggestion? Do what you can to pay that loan way down before you even think of trying to get rid of the car. Find ways to save money. And don't be stupid and try to total the car for insurance (assuming you have gap insurance)... that's just plain fraud.

Q: what doese this do?
hi i have a new 2007 kia rio and the rear-view miror is tented a blueis color what does it do when its tented?

A: It reduces unnecessary glares that come through the window and cause fadinf to the interior. It also provides a little more privacy for the person in the car, and helps with heat control on the inside of the vehicle.

Q: How reliable is the Ford Focus. (2007 model)?
Bought an 07 focus last month, 25 miles, so has never really been driven. Plan on driving her for 8 years, 120,000 miles or so. You think I will have to put in a lot of parts and work on it to get me to 120,000k over the next 8 years. Had a Kia Rio that nickle and dimed me like crazy and it only made it to 70,000 miles and I invested lots of money, then also lost lots of money on the resale value.

A: If you want, go on auto sites to read editor, customer reviews and resale values. Of course there's no guarantee with any car maker that nothing will never go wrong but i think just keeping up with basic & the recommended maintenance in your owners manual will help to keep it going as long as possible!

Q: I have bought a used car, there may be a problem with the camshaft, am I entitled to a refund?
There is a knocking noise coming from the top of the engine. The car is 3 1/2 years old and has a used car warranty. The car has done 32,000 miles and is a Kia Rio 1.3 I purchased the car 17 March 2007.

A: no you are not-you bought the used car as is, i don't know why you would think you are entitled to a refund. you should have had a mechanic check it out before buying it.

Q: The Best and the Cheapest.?
what would be the best and the cheapest car to buy in 2007 models? i was thinking between KIA rio, Chevrolete Aveo 5, Honday iam not sure what. all these car are priced from $9,000 for Aveo, about $11,000 for kia, and same goes for honday.

A: "Best" and "cheapest" don't really belong together. Like the old saying goes, "you get what you pay for". Cheap cars can bite you later with poor re-sale value, costly repairs, and cheap bits that fall apart after a few years. That said, if getting the cheapest possible new car is your only concern, I would stick with Kia/Hyundai (they are the same company), if only because they have the best warranty in the biz (5 year bumper-to-bumper, compared to a 3 year warranty from virtually every other car maker). They have also made great strides in quality in the past 6-7 years, so it's not like they're junk. But if you buy one and decide you don't like it after all after a couple years, don't expect to get much for it in trade-in.
