Q: Kia Rio windscreen washer bottle. Does anyone know how to get at it?
The windscreen washer on my Kia Rio will not pump water to the windscreen or the rear window, even though you can hear the pump running. I presume there must be a blockage somewhere or some gunk in the bottom of the bottle. However the bottle seems to be concealed in the body work of the car. Does anyone know how to get at it?

A: Have you tried cleaning the nozzles with a pin? That would be my first thought, along with, "is it freezing?"

Q: would you recommend a kia rio are they good cars?
Hi there, i have been offered a kia rio 2004 model with 60,000 kms on it for 10.000 what do u think are they expensive for parts? are they a bucket tell me what you think

A: I do not know about parts cost and I am not sure of your local economy since you stated the Kilometers on the vehicle. If you were in the US according to Kelly Blue Book on a 2004 Kia Rio with 90,000 miles that had auto, ac, power windows/locks, cruise control and a tilt wheel from a dealership you could expect to pay about 7800 dollars. User reviews seemed to be good though. I would check into getting a newer model though because there are some really good rebates/special offers going on but then again I am not sure what conditions are like in your area. Good luck to you and enjoy your new vehicle!!

Q: Is a catalytic converter covered in a warranty for a 2004 kia rio?
My 2004 Kia Rio is in the shop since it will barely drive. The mechanic believes that the catalytic converter might be broken, and will verify in the morning. Does anyone know if the replacement of the part would be covered under warranty? I am the original owner.

A: All emissions are convered under Federal Emissions warranty for 8 years/80K miles (which ever comes first), if your beyond those numbers then typically it's not covered under warranty. ben45750, if you read the documentation after you perform your google search, you will see that on page 3 of the pdf, that emission components are only warrantied for 8 years/80K not Kia's 10 year/100K. Kia's 10 year/100K only covers the powertrain. Please read your own answer before calling other people stupid.

Q: How do I remove the door panel on my '06 Kia Rio?

Q: how to add a coolant in a KIA Rio 2004?
The coolant dipstick in my KIA Rio 2004 shows very low level. I checked the driver's manual for KIA rio and it said that if the coolant level shows low in the cooln at dipstick in the Coolant reservior, add anti freeze coolant. But it did not specify where to add it. My questions is as follows - 1) I have a ready to use coolant mixture (50% water and 50% anit freeze coolant). Where do I add this mixture so that the coolant level in the dipstick shows as full ? 2)Should I get the coolant system flushed? How often should i do it ?

A: "Coolant dipstick"?!? DON'T TOUCH THE CAR - take to a shop!

Q: how much does it cost to replace a timing belt in a Kia Rio?
I'm considering buying a 2003 Kia Rio as a commuter car for school. The asking price is $4500. It's a good car and the owner said he recently had the timing belt replaced. I've read that replacing timing belts seems to be a consistent problem with Kias. How much does something like that usually cost? I don't want to be pumping a ton of money into a car that I'm not paying a whole lot for in the first place.

A: Timing belt replacement normally run approximately $200 - 400 depending on the shop. Some shop may suggest new water pump and/ or timing components since it saves on labor to do everything when its apart in the same area.

What is the best way to change the spark plugs ina 2001 Kia Rio. I know they are tough to get to, but what steps need to be taken to get to the plugs to change them?

Q: How good is a kia rio vs. a Honda Civic (as far as reliablility and gas mileage)?
I found a 2005 Kia rio sedan for 7000 with 23000 miles on it. However, I know that Honda civics can last a long time as long as you mantain them. Could this be true for a Kia rio as well? I don't know anything about kia's.

A: I would much rather own a Honda Civic than a Kia Rio, parts are easier to come by and they hold up very well for around 250,000 miles.

Q: what are the advantages and disadvantages of a kia rio?
i am considering purchasing a 2002 kia rio and would like to gather all the information i can. can anyone tell me about this type of car? thanks!

A: The only good things I can say about that car is that it is cheap and gets good gas mileage. Please be aware, that the 100k mile warranty is not transferrable. Assuming the car has 60k miles and is an automatic, the Kelly Blue Book Wholesale value is $4,900. Retail is $7,350. This vehicle is not very popular and sells for less than wholesale. If you find one in very good condition, do not pay more than $4k. Make sure to have it inspected by a mechanic before you buy. Good luck.

Q: How much could i get for a 2004 kia rio?
What is a reasonable price to sell my 2004 kia rio in good condition for?

A: $2500 how many miles are on it? that affects it a LOT A "Cinco" model (wagon) may get $3000 if it has low miles Average about $2500 Also, your 10-year warranty is not transferable Remember, Kias are crap, and nobody would pay that much for one They were hardly $10000 brand NEW Also, NOBODY actually pays Kelly Blue Book value for ANY car Use Edmunds' True Market Value instead; it's MUCH closer to what people would actually pay www.edmunds.com Automatics are also MUCH more desirable than manual-transmission cars

Q: Kia Rio...?
Do you or someone you know own a Kia Rio and had any problems with them??

A: I own a shop, and can tell you they aren't very reliable vehicles. If you wish to check it out: http://www.nhtsa.dot.gov and click on search, then enter your information. You should see all the pages of complaints that have been filed against these vehicles, and the recalls. Glad to help out, Good Luck!!!

A: You should have an owners manual. Look up windshield wiper functions. It will be listed under that.
