Q: What does everyone think of the 2007 kia Optima?
my mom just got one and now i want one. they are sporty looking.
A: People can say what they want about Kias but they really aren't bad cars. I've owned two and the new design is very nice.
Q: What is the best way to install a IPOD auxilary jack in a 2007 Kia Optima?
A: I found the best thing since sliced bread...http://www.crutchfield.com/S-9oDEWuNVIo6/cgi-bin/prodview.asp?i=142FMMOD01
It's not wireless so there's no chance for interference. It basically adds an AUX port to ANY radio.
It feeds your audio signal from a headphone jack ( or RCA cables) by FM modulation, directly into the antenna input on your radio bypassing the antenna when on, allowing the radio to work as normal when off.
This IS the answer. Totally versatile.
Q: Who makes the car stereos for the 2007 Kia Optima?
A: Any real stereo shop can get any radio to fit and look good.
Q: My 2007 Kia Optima wont play mp3 cd's...even though it is stated that it does! PLEASE HELP?
i have 2 mp3 cd's i would like to play in my car. It functions well, i played it on my computer, but unfortunately it displays as an ERROR in my car. Is there a certain setting i have to change? i dont know. Please help.. thank you
A: check the owners manual for the radio, often times the files have to be in a certain sample rate. often time 128kb is a good one, simply because that is considered "cd quality" if you have it set higher or lower that could be the problem. you'd have to poke around in the setting of your burning software to change that setting, well good luck and hope you get it working.
Q: What is the best new car for a 21 year old girl?
I am about to buy my first car, I am 21 years old, I want a new car I would like to put $2,500 down. Here are several I have in mind. I don't know much about cars. I went through vehix.com Under $20,000 before tax. 2007
2007 Ford Focus
2007 Ford Fusion
2007 Honda Accord Sedan
2007 Honda Civic Sedan
2007 Kia Optima
2007 Mazda Mazda6
2007 Nissan Altima
2007 Nissan Sentra
2007 Nissan Versa
2007 Toyota Corrola
2007 Toyota Yaris
2007 Volkswagan Jetta Sedan
Quite the bit I know price range between $11,000 to $18,000
Or any other car that you think might suit me that I did not put down.
Obviously I am going to test drive them but it's good to read others opinions.
A: Well...you have quite a large price range there.
I would go with a 2007 Toyota Corolla S.
I have the 2007 Toyota Camry SE, and It is BEAUTIFUL! The Corolla S is like its little sister.
It is affordable and with you being 21, you shouldn't commit to an expensive car.
I have always driven Ford Mustangs in the past and had many problems with my Fords.
This is my first Toyota and I love it so far. Toyotas also hold their value well.
Be careful also because every dealership you go to will check your credit when you hand them your ID to test drive it. It will knock your credit score down a point or so, so be careful because it can really add up.
Good luck car shopping!
Q: Would you buy a KIA Optima?
I currently own a 2007 Cobalt LT 2.2 2 door 5 Speed Manual and put 26,000 miles on it in one year. I like the car and haven’t had any major problems, but because it was one of my first new cars my interest is fairly high on the loan and I’m annoyed with my rate. I am considering trading it for a 2008 KIA Optima 5 Speed which is the mid-size model KIA and because of shopping around and getting a better rate I could keep my payments the same as the Cobalt for the new KIA. I just want some opinions on which car you would prefer and why should I or not keep the Cobalt thanks for the help in advance! Eric
A: You should keep the Chevy and simply pay it off. MAke multiple payments each month.
Q: How much do you have to weigh for the passenger air bag?
I am 23 but I only weigh 90 somthing pounds. I thought it was on the closer side to 100 but maybe some where around 93-95. We just bought a 2007 kia optima and the passenger air bag light does not come on when i'm sitting there but if my husband gets in it does. How much do you have to weigh to make it come on? I don't want to be the only one in the car to get hurt if we have an accident just because i'm skinny. Maybe I should start carrying a 10lb weight around with me....
A: my car is 80lbs
Q: I want to sell my new car. How?
I bought my car from a dealership in May; its a 2007 Kia Optima LX to be paid off in 4 years. However, I may be leaving the country in December for a couple of years and cant take the car with me or pay it off before I go. If I sell it to the public how does the paperwork go (passing over the pink slip that I don't have)? Is there anything I can do with the dealership as in "give it back"?
What is the best thing I can do?
This re-finance loan... do I go through my lender or through the dealership? Or rather, does the "new buyer" go through my lender/dealership?
A: Sell your car in any method you wish. Once you find a buyer let your loan company know about the pending sale and they will produce the title for you. They will expect most or all of their loan to be paid off at the time of the sale.
Q: what would be the best price to deal for hyundai elantra gls automatic trans?
Dear All,
I am about to purchase a new car either hyundai elantra GLS automatic or kia optima LS automatic both for 2007. Anyone has idea for deal ? what would be the best price I go for ? thanks !
A: The 2008 Elantra's are now out so you should be able to get a very good deal. Assuming you are getting CD, AC, Vanity Mirror and carpet package, the MSRP is $16580, Edmunds says actual price people are paying now is $15540. I would start my negoations at $14000 though and see if you can get it for around $14,500. Depending on the dealer, you might be able to get it for this price, so don't be affraid to walk out, sitting there for hours is a waste of your time.
Q: What do I do when I find damage on my used car I bought 8 months ago?
I bought my car on January 1 of 2007 (this year) in used condition. It is a 2004 Kia Optima. There was a dent on the driver door, cracks in the windshield and passanger headlight had a scratch in it. But overall it was still nice. Recently the passanger headlight went out and after replacing it and trying to adjust it I had to take the bra off on the fron of it only to discover that the bumper had a big dent and crack in it as tho the car had hit something! You can tell that the bra was put on after this and not professionaly because there are stress cracks on both sides and recently the passanger side snapped off.
I did a carfax report before I bought the car and there is nothing in it about it being in a wreck, nor did the used car place I bought it from say anything about this big dent!
Is the car place liable for this or am I s.o.l.?
I bought it from an actual car lot...not an independent seller, I thought the carlot would know of/look for damage like that.
The bra was bolted to the bottom, and there were already cracks removing the bra meant losing the underside of the bumber
The car lot just said that the car was still under warranty throught the manufacturer. By the manufacturer isn't going to pay for the previous owner being a bad driver, that's the insurance companies issue. Should I speak with a lawyer?
A: well, if you bought it as is with no warranty, there is nothing really that you can do.
Q: She bought a car, I bought a grill!!!!!?
This is a follow up to my question last week about my girl going out and buying a new car when she knew our rent was behind. All of you thought she was wrong for that just like I did. Ok, with Labor day coming up I went today and bought a bar-b-q smoker to do some meat this weekend. Do you know that she got on my case for spending $45 on a grill. My grill is paid for and didn't set us behind for the next 5 1/2 years where as it's fine for her to go out and get a car. Oh, and by the way. Who buys a 2004 Kia Optima in 2007 and pays on it for 5 1/2 years?
Does she have the right to grill me over a grill when she knew she just went out and bought a new car?
A: Actually, you are both wrong. She was dumb to finance a 3 or 4 year old car for 5.5 years, and also to buy a car when you are behind on your rent. You were dumb to buy a grill when you are behind on your rent. If you cannot afford your rent, you cannot afford a car or grill, or anything but food. You should rethink your priorities, pay your rent, and then enjoy your grill.
Q: i need some advice on Kias?
Im looking at the 2007 2008 Kia reno and the optima are they good cars I know the earlier years were mostly junk from what i heard but what about now any advice please
A: everyone i know who has one hates them the only reason they bought them was so they could say "i have a new car" but couldn't afford a real car. in my opinion i would rather have an 80s Geo metro
Q: Which car and why?
Eric
Well I own the cobalt now and owe about 12,000 on it and The KIA's sticker price is 17,500 minus a 3,000 rebate and 500 one so it brings the asking price down to 13,500. I just wonder if the KIA is a good car which such a good discount.
A: Note; Thank-you fI am not you and you have not provided enough information to make a good suggestion with I would need to know the selling price of both vehicles. I will tell you that right now ALL Car Manufactures are doing their level best to sell off existing inventory. A cobalt lists for $14,225 to $22,335 and the Optima lists for $16,355 to $20,500 with out this information as to your price for both no one can give you a good answer
or the additional information I think that you will make out well by trading, As for the car (Kia) it is a fine car and both the Kia and its parent company Hyundai are both rated really well by a number of different raters. Most raters feel that the KIA and the Hyundai are both very close to being as good as Honda and Toyota and that is really saying something. I don't have it listed as a through away car
Note; I just ran the numbers on your car and here they are, I have assumed that your car is in excellent condition; for private sale it is worth $8930 and trade value it is worth $7,825. As you can see you are upside down on this car and the remainer of the Cobalt over the amount shown above is going to be refinanced into the cost of the new car. I will give you some unasked for brotherly advice and that is keep you present car and wait until it is paid for, I have made a lot of money selling and buying new and used cars for many years and I understand the buying bug, If I was to value one over the other I would say that they are pretty even and having said that it makes really good sence to keep what you have or try to find some one to take over the payments on it I checked the buyers guide and it doesn't show much over $10,000.
Q: Does an email stand up as a binding agreement? --car dealership?
I have been going back and forth with a dealership on a specific car I like. We have been talking terms and actually came to an agreement that I was really happy with. Here is the last email:
Here is mine to "Jeff":
"OK.... lets run the numbers:
My 2004 Kia Optima, blue, in good condition, about 32K miles, payoff from Chrysler is: 8537.50.
The 2007 Mazda 5 Grand Touring @ 16999 + tax, title and tags.... can we get out the door for 350 a month, 72 month loan? "
This is his response:
"Janice, as long as I can get at least 6k for you trade from the boss, we can get to 357 per month. If you come in this weekend, I'll try for more, so you can get to the 350 even. Let's make a deal. Thanks, Jeff."
The problem is that I went down and he brought out a "sport" model and I said no, we talked about a Grand Touring model. In the end, they did not honor the email and I am mad. Is the email a written agreement? Do I have any recourse?
Thanks for any help,
Janice
A: I doubt it. You can edit an email.
