I have looked under the dash on the drivers side and could not find it. Have also looked behind the ash tray, passenger side, fuse box area.

ok so my mother went to work this morning and thought her transmission up so she got some of the guys that work with her too take a look at it and turns out there was no transmission fluid in it, so she got them to go buy some transmission fluid and they ended up putting 2x as much than it needed so now i need to drain some of it out. please help!
A: you could use a hand held fluid transfer pump to remove the fluid through the dipstick tube.
OR:
On most transmissions, you must remove the transmission oil pan to drain the fluid. Some transmission pans on recent vehicles include a drain plug.
To drain and refill a typical transmission, the vehicle must be raised on a hoist.
After the vehicle is safely in position, place a drain pan with a large opening under the transmission's oil pan.
you really need to find out why it had no fluid, if it has a leak, it will need to be fixed. if you don't have a drain plug and have to remove the pan, be prepaired for a messy job.
You may be better off to go ahead and get it checked out and get the leak fixed.

Q: where is the fuel pump on a 2002 kia optima? and is it easy to replace yourself?
i believe its my fuel pump because when im driving im stepping on the gas pedal but it feels like its not accelerating fast enough
it started after i had put in a full tank of gas and it started to do that 2 mins after. then it was fine, and now that im under the quarter mark it started to do that..could it be bad gas?
A: The fuel pump is located inside the fuel tank.

It started smoking and I just want a quick solution until I can replace it.
A: If you just don't want to use it the fuse suggestion would work.
If it's smoking and probabally squealing your compressor is locked up.
Go to Auto Zone (or other parts house equivalent) and get a new serpentine belt for your car. Specify that you need it for your car WITH OUT an a/c. When you get home.
Take the existing belt off
remove your a/c compressor
Mind the high pressure lines, you'll have to blow the charge in order to remove the compressor, but it's full of r134a, so it's supposedly environmentally safe. Just don't breathe it or let it touch your skin, it will cause serious burns from frost bite.
When you get the time and/or money buy a new compressor, install it, install a new belt (if your old one is smoking it's not useful anymore) and charge it with the recommended amount of refrigeration.

My check engine light comes on every now and then. When switching gears it will jump sometimes, Last but not least my gas will never go up to the F it will only go 3 quarters and just stop no matter how much i put in
A: The check engine light can be a number of problems, next time it comes on take it to a Pep Boys and get the code pulled and then you are able to diagnose what is wrong. If your rpms are jumping when you are shifting gears sounds to me as the clutch is worn and slipping might need to get that looked at. The thing about the gas is you have a bad tank sensor that is not accurately managing the gas levels.

A: sounds like its going into limp mode,check wiring harness for any wires rubbing thru insulator on engine block or tranny creating a short,does it have a check engine light on do you have any codes that may help,may have bad solenoids or dirty solenoids in transmission.

i really wanna go to some dB drags with my 2002 kia optima but im the type of person thats in it to win it. im planning on getting at least two 12" ma audio hard kore 3000 watt subs. and a 10,000 watt ma audio hard kore amp. i need help with getting the highest amout of decibles possible. if ma audio is not a good brand to do this with can i have some suggestions on whatsubs and amps i should use. note that im trying 2 stay under $1500.
A: we use 2 12 JL audio in a bandpass box the rear deck was cut out and the port was facing the rear window this is not the best box for spl but using two class d amplifiers 1200 wats each
